What is a Pascal?

A homosapien who’s been collecting life experiences for 35 years. Someone who can’t stop designning and analyzing games in his free time. An adventurer and sports enthusiast striving for a balance between an active and nerdy lifestyle.

Summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro

Trained for a year now for my approaching adventure, summitting/hiking Kilimanjaro this September 2025

THE ADVENTURER

“Don’t Kick it till you try it”

Card Games

pokemon, yugioh, flesh and blood, sorcery, MTG ect..

Even when constructing my personal decks I prioritize everyone’s enjoyment over the dominant winning strategies. Only including cards I feel are fair and don’t leave a sour taste for my opponents. Choosing cards with interesting interactions, rather than the obvious staples that do everything on their own.

Fear Conqueror/Rock Climber

From childhood I had a paralyzing phobia of heights; turning white, heavy breathing, trembling and having cold sweats. All it took to trigger these symptoms was being too close to the 2nd floor banister in a mall.

With a helpful push from a friend, and a dozen climbing sessions later, I turned my paralyzing phobia into a manageable fear of heights, and fell in love with the sport.

The appeal of rock climbing? Certainly not the height…but the puzzle solving while utilizing your entire body.

Traveler

Still in its infancy, but looking to broaden the places I’ve journeyed into.

From extravagant places such as Cuba, Florida to small towns like White Horse Yukon, there is always something to enjoy.

THE NERD

Board Game Creator

When he had yet to secure a Game Designer position in the industry, he took matters into his own hands and released a boardgame of his own.

Currently working on his next tabletop release.

And always finding new ways to improve existing titles from other companies.

Game Collector(and Boardgames)

Like all gamers, I have a large collection of videogames. Where I differ is my additional collection of Board Games. Some popular mainstream games, but focusing on unique, elegant, and innovative games instead, finding myself with a collection of many games most have not heard of while all being excellent games.

Also not forgetting to buy/test games(both physical and digital games) that weren’t successful/good, figuring out where they went wrong…and how to fix and/or avoid such issues when designing.

THE MANAGER

Retail Manager

The Expedition Shoppe was small outdoor store selling high end gear for hiking/backpacking and traveling gear. Worked there for 5 years , starting as a sales associate and becoming Manager forthe last 2 years before heading in a new direction in life.

Those years will always have a special place in my heart, as I gained a new familly, friends and expanded my horizons by trying things I never would have dared before.

Esport Team Manager and Player

When he grew tired of toxic team environments when trying to find a League of Legends team, he set out to make and manage his own.

This was done as hobby/pass time rather than a career prospect. But it still required scheduling, finding new teamates and kicking out teamates who where disrespectful or had attendance issues.

This was done for about 4 years, before putting it to rest to go back to school full time. (add more?)
